Prioritizing Values in Times of Uncertainty

When faced with uncertainty and feeling overwhelmed, it is essential to prioritize our values and focus on what is truly important. One approach is to concentrate on one category each day, all day, focusing on admirable things or specific scriptural truths. This can help us stay directed and avoid being driven by external pressures. It's also crucial to examine our values and ensure they are not hindering us in achieving our goals.

In times of uncertainty, it's easy to fall into the trap of avarice, where we prioritize our own interests above all else. However, as Christians, we must prioritize God first, God second, and God third, keeping our lives continually face-to-face with Him. Our prayer should be, "In all the world there is no one but You, dear God; I want to do what is best." We must maintain a position of openness to God, setting aside other things, including work, clothes, and food, to concentrate on Him.

To prioritize our values effectively, we must also be proactive about handling failure. We should pray and ask God to help us react by faith to any future failures. Additionally, we must apply a new strategy to handle failure, such as taking time to reflect on our values and goals, and examining where we have become sluggish or lost interest spiritually.
