Can I really trust anyone anymore?

The question of trust is a complex one, especially when we've been hurt or let down by others. When we put our trust in a person, we're placing our confidence in them to be reliable, faithful, and true. However, when that trust is broken, it can be difficult to know if we can trust them again. In Hebrews 11:1, it says, "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." This means that our trust in God is not based on what we can see or experience, but on what we can't see or experience. We trust in God's character, His promises, and His sovereignty over all things. When we trust in God, we're not just trusting in a person, but in the very fabric of reality itself.

So, can we really trust anyone anymore? The answer is no, not in the way we think we can trust people. But we can trust in Jesus, and that's where true trust begins. When we trust in Christ, we're not just trusting in a person, but in the ultimate source of trust. We're trusting in God's character, His promises, and His sovereignty over all things. And that's where true peace, joy, and confidence come from. As the Bible says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). When we trust in God, we can trust that He's got everything under control, and that's a trust worth having.
