When You Feel Like Giving Up

There are times when we feel like giving up on prayer. Perhaps we feel like we're not good enough, or that our prayers aren't being answered. But the Bible encourages us to persevere in prayer, even when it's hard. In fact, Jesus said, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7-8). When we feel like giving up, we can confess our struggles to God and ask for His help. We can also ask Him to give us the strength and perseverance to continue praying.

Prayer Partners

Having prayer partners can be a huge help when we feel like giving up. We can ask God to raise up people who will pray for us and with us, and then we can ask them to be our prayer partners. We can also ask God to give them faith, wisdom, and ability to intercede for us. When we have a prayer partner, we can encourage each other to keep praying, even when it's hard. We can also ask God to give us nourishment and strength to continue praying. As the Bible says, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

Praying Through Difficult Times

When we're feeling discouraged or overwhelmed, it's easy to give up on prayer. But the Bible encourages us to keep praying, even when it's hard. We can ask God to help us see His presence and power in our lives, even in the midst of difficult circumstances. We can also ask Him to forgive us for our doubts and fears, and to give us the strength and perseverance to continue praying. As the Bible says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7). When we pray through difficult times, we can experience God's peace and presence in our lives, even when things seem impossible.
