Can I still trust my family?

As a Christian, it is essential to understand that trust is not earned but rather a choice. When our children become teenagers, it is natural to feel hesitant to trust them implicitly. This is not because we don't trust them, but rather because trust is a two-way street. We need to establish clear boundaries and communicate openly with our children, while also teaching them the importance of integrity and honesty. As the Bible says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). By placing our trust in God, we can develop a deeper trust in our family members.

However, it is also essential to acknowledge that family relationships can be complex and hurtful. When we have experienced pain or betrayal in our family, it can be challenging to trust others. But as Christians, we are called to forgive and trust God, even when it's difficult. As the Bible says, "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone.
