Biblical Answer

To find a new purpose, we must first understand that our purpose is not something we create for ourselves, but rather it is given to us by God. As the Bible says, "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" (Ephesians 2:10). Our purpose is to glorify God and to fulfill the good works that He has prepared for us.

To develop a new purpose, we must first discover God's purpose for our lives. This involves surrendering our own understanding and ways to God's plan, and allowing Him to take us directly into His purpose for the world (Proverbs 3:5-6). As we focus on Jesus and His purpose for our lives, we will begin to see our own purpose in a new light. We will understand that our purpose is not just about achieving our own goals or fulfilling our own desires, but about glorifying God and serving others.

As we discover God's purpose for our lives, we must also be willing to update our life plan to reflect that purpose. This may involve changing our daily tasks and commitments to align with God's plan, and seeking to integrate our lives with His purpose. It is a process that requires surrender, obedience, and trust in God's sovereignty over our lives. As we walk in God's purpose, we will find joy, fulfillment, and a sense of direction that we may not have experienced before. We will be living a life that is truly purposeful and meaningful, and one that brings glory to God.
