What is kindness and how can I be kind to my friends? Kindness is a powerful decision to do for others what they cannot do for themselves. It is a choice to put oneself at someone else's disposal, even when we don't feel like it. Kindness is not just a feeling, but an action that requires us to be intentional about how we treat others. In 1 Corinthians 13:4, Paul writes that love is kind, and this kindness is not just a soft or weak feeling, but a strong and powerful decision to use our strength on behalf of another person.

To be kind to our friends, we need to start by being willing to put ourselves out for them, even when we don't feel like it. We need to be willing to listen to them, to offer them help and support, and to be present with them in times of need. This requires us to be intentional about how we treat others and to make a conscious decision to be kind, even when it's hard. We also need to be willing to be transparent and honest with our friends, to encourage and affirm them, and to be there for them in times of need. As Proverbs 27:9 says, "The oil of the righteous man runs over, but the wicked man overflows with wickedness."

We are building strong and lasting relationships, and we are glorifying God in the process.
