Forgiveness is a divine miracle of grace that requires a great cost, as seen in the sacrifice of the Cross of Christ. It's not something we should take lightly or easily accept, but rather something we should be mindful of and strive for. In the Bible, we're reminded that God wants us to forgive others as He has forgiven us, and that forgiveness is not just about letting go of the past, but also about receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit and living in sanctity.

When it comes to forgiving an ex-spouse for leaving and taking away our savings, it's essential to understand that forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting the pain or the cost. It means releasing the hold that resentment and bitterness have on us, and instead choosing to extend grace and forgiveness to our former partner. This can be a challenging and unnatural act, but it's one that requires practice and effort to perfect.
