Biblical Answer

The Bible teaches us that we should not put our trust in people, but in God. In Matthew 9:29, Jesus says, "According to your faith let it be to you." This verse reminds us that our trust should be in God, not in people or things. When we trust in God, we have a certain amount of control over our lives, as Psalm 26:1 says, "I have also trusted in the Lord; I shall not slip." When we put our trust in God, we can have peace and confidence, even in the midst of uncertainty and betrayal. We can pray for God to redeem the situation and bring good out of it, and we can trust that He will do so. As the Bible says, "I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope." (Psalm 130:5) We can trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, and He will guide us through the difficult times.
