By making these choices, you can begin to find a way forward and to emerge from the darkness into the light. As the Heidelberg Catechism asks, "What is your only comfort in life and in death?" The answer is, "That I belong - body and soul, in life and in death, not to myself but to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ." (Depression: Looking Up from the Stubborn Darkness, 117). This is a message of hope and comfort that can guide you through even the darkest of times.
