What happens when I'm no longer able to be the strong one?
When you're no longer able to be the strong one, it's a humbling experience. It's a reminder that you're not in control, and that's a hard pill to swallow. But it's in those moments that we're forced to confront our own weaknesses and limitations. We're forced to acknowledge that we can't do it on our own, that we need help. And that's where God comes in. He's the one who promises to be our strength in our weakness. He's the one who says, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). So, when you're no longer able to be the strong one, don't panic. Don't try to muster up more strength or willpower. Instead, look to Jesus. Look to Him for the strength you need, for the help you're looking for. He's the one who will carry you through the tough times, who will sustain you in your weakness.
But it's not just about finding strength in Jesus. It's also about learning to rely on Him, to trust in Him. When we're strong, we tend to rely on ourselves, on our own abilities and resources. But when we're weak, we're forced to rely on God. And that's a beautiful thing. It's a chance to experience His strength, to see His power at work in our lives. It's a chance to learn that we're not alone, that we're not the ones in control. We're not the ones who can fix everything or make everything better. God is. So, when you're no longer able to be the strong one, don't be afraid to admit your weakness. Don't be afraid to ask for help. And don't be afraid to look to Jesus, to trust in Him. He's the one who will carry you through, who will sustain you in your weakness.
It's also worth noting that our weakness can be a catalyst for spiritual growth. When we're faced with our own limitations, we're forced to confront our own sin and our need for God. We're forced to recognize that we're not as strong as we thought we were, that we need help. And that's a good thing. It's a chance to experience God's grace, to see His power at work in our lives. It's a chance to learn to rely on Him, to trust in Him. So, when you're no longer able to be the strong one, don't be discouraged. Don't be afraid. Instead, look to Jesus. Look to Him for the strength you need, for the help you're looking for. He's the one who will carry you through, who will sustain you in your weakness. He's the one who will use your weakness to make you stronger, to make you more like Him.
