How do we find peace in the midst of chaos?

We find peace in the midst of chaos by turning to Christ in faith. When we turn to Christ, we have peace with God and a conscience that is no longer troubled. However, we are guaranteed that we will not have complete peace in all our relationships (Matt. 10:34). Peace often accompanies obedience to divine guidance, but this does not mean that we will feel good about it when it may conflict with our natural desires. Assurance often follows, but even if not, one must recon- cile their hearts to God's will.

Peace is a restored relationship with God, and in the bringing of such peace, conflict is inevitable, as not all will accept it. But for those who have turned to Christ, there is a sense of wholeness and well-being, completeness and totality. This is not just the peace we experience when there is no conflict, but the presence of Christ. His peace and his presence in our lives bring a sense of inner peace and fulfillment. This is not something that can be taught in a book, but must be experienced. In complete honesty, the world makes no sense to me apart from the peace of God.

To find peace in the midst of chaos, we must pursue peace with everyone, demonstrating in our daily lives the character of salvation. We must seek to be peacemakers, not just avoiding conflict, but actively working towards reconciliation and harmony. This requires us to be willing to put the needs of others before our own, to be patient and understanding, and to seek God's guidance in all our interactions. By doing so, we can experience peace as we dive into alignment with our deepest desires, and live in a way that brings glory to God.
