Your Question:
How do we navigate uncertain times when our priorities are constantly being tested?
Answer:
As a pastor, I've seen many people struggle to navigate uncertain times when their priorities are constantly being tested. It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life and lose sight of what's truly important. But I believe that taking care of our priorities is crucial in moments of uncertainty. We must intentionally set our priorities, examine our use of time for inefficiency, and be willing to cut back on non-essential activities to make room for what truly matters. For me, this means prioritizing my relationship with God and my family. As a husband and father of two, I want to make sure that I'm spending quality time with Susan and our children, Joshua and Rebecca. I also make time for my own spiritual growth through reading and prayer. When faced with uncertain times, I remind myself to focus on what I can control, rather than worrying about the future. I ask myself, "Lord, what is my priority right now?" and try to act on that. As I navigate uncertain times, I also remind myself that God is in control. I try to view challenges as opportunities for growth and faith-building, rather than as threats to my plans. By focusing on the present moment and trusting in God's sovereignty, I'm able to find peace and clarity in the midst of uncertainty. I encourage others to do the same, to take initiative and act on what God is saying, even when it's difficult or uncomfortable. By doing so, we can find the strength and wisdom we need to navigate even the most uncertain of times.
