Biblical Answer

In times of crisis, our actions can indeed reflect our true values. When faced with a crisis, our natural response may be to panic, become overwhelmed, and abandon our values. However, it is in these moments that our true character is revealed. As the Bible says, "You do not know what you ask" (Matthew 20:22). As the Bible teaches, "For every day you get up you answer the question of whether there are objective moral values and duties by how you live" (Psalm 90:12). This means that our values are not just abstract concepts, but they are lived out in our daily actions, including in times of crisis. By responding to crises in a way that aligns with our values, we demonstrate to ourselves and others that our values are not just ideals, but they are a guiding force in our lives. In doing so, we can emerge from crises stronger, wiser, and more faithful to our values.
