Understanding Job's Suffering

Job's question "Is God punishing me?" is a common one that people face when they experience suffering. In the book of Job, Job himself struggles with this question, and his friends try to offer explanations for his suffering. However, the book of Job ultimately suggests that Job's suffering is not a punishment from God, but rather a test of his faith. This is emphasized in Job 1:21, where Job says, "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord."
