The Sovereignty of God in Suffering

When we ask why God let our loved ones die, we must first consider the sovereignty of God. God is the supreme ruler of the universe, and He has the right to govern His creation as He sees fit. This means that He can bring about suffering in our lives for His own purposes, even if we don't understand them. In the Bible, we see examples of God allowing His people to suffer, not because He doesn't love them, but because He does. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, suffered and died on the cross, not because He was disobedient, but because He was obedient to His Father's will. As we seek to understand God's purposes in our lives, we can find comfort in the fact that He is always working for our good, even when we don't understand what He is doing. Ultimately, our goal as Christians is not to understand everything that God does, but to trust in His goodness and sovereignty, and to find comfort in His presence and love.
