The Challenge of Losing Identity and Business

Losing a business can be a devastating experience, especially when it is closely tied to one's sense of identity. It's as if a part of who you are has been taken away. This can lead to feelings of emptiness, confusion, and disorientation. When God removes our business, it can be a challenging experience, as we struggle to reconcile our sense of self with the new reality. It's essential to remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His plans are often beyond our understanding (Isaiah 55:8-9).

In the Bible, we see examples of individuals who lost their businesses or livelihoods, only to discover a deeper sense of purpose and identity in God. For instance, Job lost his possessions, family, and health, but ultimately came to understand that God's love for him was not based on his circumstances, but on God's nature to love (Job 1:1-22). Similarly, the apostle Paul wrote about how he had to "die daily" to his old self and take on a new identity in Christ (Romans 6:6-7).
