Can I still trust God when life is unfair?

Trust in God is not necessarily about understanding why things happen, but about understanding who God is. The Bible teaches us that God is just and fair, even when His actions don't seem to be fair to us. In the parable of the workers in the field, everyone was justly paid a full day's wage, although some did not work the full day. This teaches us that God's justice is not always based on our human concept of fairness.

However, we are not always going to reap immediate rewards for our faith. Life often seems unfair, and even a strong faith is no guarantee of a trouble-free life. But this is where our trust in God comes in. We are free to make decisions in the light of a perfect and delightful friendship with God, knowing that if our decisions are wrong, He will lovingly guide us towards the right path. This doesn't mean that we are in control, but that we have a certain amount of freedom to choose. And if we sense a feeling of restraint brought on by a check in our spirit, we can trust that it's because God is guiding us towards what's best for us.

So, can we still trust God when life is unfair? The answer is yes. Not because we understand why things happen, but because we understand who God is. He is a just and loving God who is working everything out for our good, even when it doesn't seem that way. And He is always willing to guide us and help us through the tough times. As the Bible says, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7-8). This is not a promise that life will be easy, but it is a promise that God is always with us and will always help us through the tough times. We can trust in Him, even when life is unfair.
