The Biblical Call to Love Your Neighbor

The biblical call to love your neighbor is rooted in the Golden Rule, which teaches us to do to others as we would have them do to us (Mt 7:12). This is a rephrasing of the command to love your neighbor as yourself. Biblical love is positive and active, constantly planning and acting for the welfare of others.
