This process is a continuation of what was begun in regeneration, when a newness of life was conferred upon and instilled within us (A of Systematic Theology). Sanctification is a work of God's free grace, and it is not a partnership with the Spirit in the sense that we each do our respective parts (B of Systematic Theology). Rather, it is a process in which we, as believers, are actively involved, but it is not a partnership in the sense that we each do our respective parts.
