Prioritizing Family Needs

As Christians, we are called to prioritize our family's needs over our own. This is evident in the biblical command to "honor your father and mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you" (Exodus 20:12). In a world that often emphasizes individualism and self-reliance, it's easy to get caught up in our own needs and desires. However, as Proverbs 24:23-34 reminds us, "These also are sayings of the wise: To show partiality in judgment is not good... A wise man has great power, and a man of knowledge increases strength; for in the heart of the wise, there is knowledge; but the words of the mouth come from the depths of the belly."
