What does God want for me?

To answer this question, we must first examine our own desires and motivations. Are we seeking great things for ourselves, or are we seeking God Himself? If we are only seeking what God can give us, we are not truly seeking Him. God wants us to ask for things, but He also wants us to be surrendered to Him and willing to do what He asks of us. If we are not willing to do this, He may not give us what we ask for. God's ultimate goal is not to make us happy or successful in this life, but to produce saints who are holy and dedicated to Him. He wants us to depend on Him and His power, not our own.

God's purpose for us is not a destination, but a process. He is not working towards a particular finish, but rather He is working in us to produce a certain character. If we are seeking great things for ourselves, we may not be open to what God wants to do in us. We may be so focused on our own goals and ambitions that we are not willing to surrender to Him. But if we are willing to let go of our own desires and ambitions, God can work in us to produce something greater than we could ever ask or imagine.

So, what does God want for us? He wants us to be holy, to be like Jesus. He wants us to depend on Him and His power, not our own. He wants us to be surrendered to Him and willing to do what He asks of us. If we can let go of our own desires and ambitions and seek Him above all else, He will give us the desires of our heart. But if we are only seeking what He can give us, we may not be open to what He wants to do in us. Let us examine our own hearts and motivations and ask ourselves, "What is my vision of God's purpose for me?" Is it something that aligns with God's will, or is it something that is selfish and ambitious? Only when we seek God above all else can we truly know what He wants for us.
