Can our actions reflect our true values?

This question is closely tied to the idea of objective moral values and duties. If there are no objective moral values and duties, then our actions may not accurately reflect our true values. However, if there are objective moral values and duties, then our actions can indeed reflect our true values. The Bible teaches that our actions are a reflection of our true values and that we are responsible for our choices and decisions. In order for our actions to reflect our true values, we need to have a clear understanding of what those values are. This requires a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who is the source of all truth and values. Our values are no longer based on our own desires and preferences, but on what God has revealed to us in His Word. As the Bible teaches, "We cannot discover our real meaning by regarding ourselves and our own happiness as the highest of all values, nor find happiness, fulfillment, or satisfaction by seeking it directly" (Sorley, 123). Instead, our value has been conferred on us by a higher source, and our actions should reflect that value.
