Crisis and Turning Point

Losing everything and starting over can be a devastating experience. However, it can also be a turning point in life, an opportunity to rediscover and realign oneself with God's will. As the Bible says, "You are not your own; you were bought at a price" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). When we lose everything, we are forced to confront the reality of our dependence on God. It is a moment of surrender, a moment of choice, where we can decide to give up our own will and pride and follow Jesus.

New Beginnings and Redemption

Following Jesus is like selling everything and getting back far more than we gave up. When we give up our own will and self-seeking, we can experience peace, joy, and satisfaction. The Bible says, "Whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it" (Mark 8:35). This is a promise of redemption, a promise that our lives can be transformed and renewed through our relationship with Jesus. When we turn to God in our crisis, we can find forgiveness, healing, and a new beginning.

The Power of Forgiveness and Renewal

The Bible teaches us that our slate is clean when we turn to God. We are set free from condemnation, and we are given a new life and placed into a new family. We have a relationship with God through Jesus, and His work on the cross got us out of death, so now our life can be lived fully surrendered to Him. The cycle of forgiveness is complete when we cancel our debts with others, God, and ourselves. This is the power of forgiveness and renewal that comes from following Jesus. When we lose everything, we can find everything in Him. As the Bible says, "You will never lose your reward" (2 John 1:8). We can start over, and our new beginning can be a fresh start with God.
