Biblical Answer

As I reflect on my life, I've come to realize that I have a Rule of Life that has been shaped by my faith and my relationships. My wife Susan and I have been married for 19 years, and we've built a life together that is centered around our family and our church. My son Joshua is 17 and my daughter Rebecca is 14, and they bring us so much joy and purpose. As a pastor, I've learned to focus on Jesus and let His purpose guide my tasks and decisions.

To make sense of my life, I've found it helpful to take small daily steps and integrate my life around my purpose. I've reviewed my one-sentence statement of my life purpose and made sure it aligns with God's will. I've also focused on Jesus and let His purpose interpret my tasks, which has helped me to live by faith. I've come to understand that my life is not just about my own goals and aspirations, but about serving God and living according to His plan.

As I look back on my journey, I've experienced spiritual growing pains, but I've also seen God's goodness and faithfulness in my life. I've learned to focus on who God is and what He is doing in my heart, rather than my doubts and fears. I've come to realize that I am a fortunate person because I know what God wants me to do in life, and that gives me a sense of focus and purpose. My Rule of Life is not just about achieving certain goals, but about living a life that is surrendered to God and centered on His love and purpose.
