Can I still trust God when everything feels like a nightmare?

When everything feels like a nightmare, it can be challenging to trust God. The Bible acknowledges that we may face difficulties and that God may not remove them immediately. However, this does not mean that we should stop trusting God. In fact, the Bible encourages us to trust God even in the midst of uncertainty and hardship. Jesus' words in Matthew 9:29, "According to your faith let it be to you," remind us that our trust in God is a powerful force that can bring about change in our lives.

The Bible also reminds us that God will not let us be tested more than we can stand (1 Cor. 10:13). This means that even in the midst of a nightmare, God is still with us and is working to help us navigate the situation. We can trust that God will make a way out of our difficulties, even if we don't see it immediately. This trust is not a blind trust, but rather a trust that is built on the character of God and His promises. We can trust that God is holy love and that He is working for our good, even when things seem dark.

So, why should we trust God when everything feels like a nightmare? The answer is simple: God wants us to know Him as the source of all good things. When He says no, He wants us to trust Him. It's not always easy, and it would be easier if God would come out and just say no. But instead, things just don't work out as we would like, and we are left wondering why. The Bible reminds us that God will not betray the trust of the righteous; He will not allow us to be put to shame (Ps 22:5; Rom 9:33; 10:11; 1 Pet 2:6). So, even when everything feels like a nightmare, we can still trust God. He is holy love, and He is working for our good. We must trust Him, even when we don't understand what He is doing. And when we do, we will come to the realization that when all goes wrong, God's way is right. He is still moving on our behalf, wanting our greatest good to come together for His glory.
