Can I really trust God to provide when I'm in this much debt?

Trust in God's Provision

The Bible teaches us that God is a loving and faithful God who provides for our needs. However, it's essential to understand that God's provision is not always immediate or in the form we expect. Faith never judges God by circumstances, and we should not blame God when our prayers for financial help are not answered in the way we want. As the Bible says, "God is not under an absolute indebtedness to the believer founded on an independent agency" (Anselm). This means that God's provision is not a matter of Him owing us something, but rather a reflection of His love and desire to bless us. We should not approach God with a sense of entitlement, but rather with a heart of gratitude and trust.

Trust in God's Timing

While God provides for our needs, we should also recognize that His timing is not always our timing. Sometimes, God uses financial difficulties to teach us valuable lessons and to draw us closer to Him. As Jesus said, "Life does not consist in an abundance of possessions" (Luke 12:15). We should not focus on our financial circumstances, but rather on what God wants to do through us and those around us. By trusting in God's provision and timing, we can experience peace and contentment, even in the midst of financial challenges. Ultimately, our trust should be in God, not in our circumstances. We can trust that He will provide for us, even when we don't see it. We can trust that He is good, and His gifts are intended to bless us. We can trust that we can get it, and that God will act in our lives in ways that are beyond our understanding. We can trust that God will do as He has promised, and that He will not pay less than He has promised. By trusting in God's provision and timing, we can experience the peace and joy that comes from knowing that we are loved and cared for by a loving and faithful God.
