Why did God take away my only source of income?

#### A Sovereign God Who Works All Things for Good

God is sovereign over all creation, and He works all things for good (Romans 8:28). This means that He has a purpose behind every event, including the loss of a job or a source of income. Even when things seem to go wrong, God is still in control and working out His plan for our lives. We can trust that He has a good purpose behind taking away our only source of income, even if we don't understand it right now.

#### A Call to Faith and Trust

The Bible teaches us to trust God, not circumstances. When we pray for money and it doesn't come, we shouldn't blame God or question His motives. Instead, we should ask ourselves if we truly trust Him, even when things don't go as planned. Faith involves complete trust in God, even when we don't understand what He's doing. As the Bible says, "Faith never judges God by circumstances" (1 Corinthians 4:4). We should focus on building our relationship with God, rather than relying on our circumstances to provide for us.

#### A Time for Reflection and Repentance

The loss of a job or source of income can be a wake-up call to re-evaluate our priorities and relationship with God. It may be a time for reflection and repentance, as we seek to understand what we can do differently to honor God with our finances. The Bible teaches us to give generously to those in need and to use our resources to bless others (Acts 20:35). We should ask ourselves if we're using our resources to glorify God, or if we're hoarding them for ourselves. By reflecting on our priorities and relationship with God, we can learn to trust Him more fully and find joy in obeying Him, even when our circumstances change. God wants us to trust Him, not our circumstances. If we do, He will provide for us and give us everything we need (Matthew 6:25-34).
