Understanding True Love

True love is not based on feelings alone, but on a commitment to love unconditionally, even when emotions fade. It requires effort, patience, and trust in God's sovereignty. When we lack feelings of love, we must examine our motives and ask God to help us love deeply from the heart.

Recognizing the Progression of Love

Love progresses from feelings to actions, and from actions to commitment. We can ask ourselves if we are becoming more loving, joyful, and at peace in our relationships. By trusting in God's sovereignty and putting our faith in Him, we can learn to love others with strings attached, and find true satisfaction in our relationships. As we learn to love others, we will also discover more about ourselves and our own hearts. Ultimately, true love is not about how we feel, but about our commitment to love God and others with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. As we seek to understand and grow in our ability to love, we will find that our hearts are transformed, and our relationships are strengthened.
