Biblical Answer

The Bible tells us that God is a God of new beginnings. He delights in creating something new and fresh, even from the ashes of something old. In Isaiah 43:18-19, we read, "Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland." God is a God of redemption and restoration, and He wants to give us a fresh start.

Starting over from scratch can be intimidating, but it can also be incredibly liberating. When we start fresh, we have the opportunity to leave behind the mistakes and regrets of the past and to create a new path forward. In Psalm 51:10, David prayed, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." God is willing and able to give us a clean start, to wipe away our sins and to create a new heart within us.

So, can you really start over from scratch? Absolutely! And it's not just about making a change in your life, it's about making a change in your heart. When we come to God and ask for a fresh start, He is more than willing to give it to us. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, we read, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" Starting over from scratch is not just about changing our circumstances, it's about being transformed by the power of God. And that is a truly amazing thing.
