Experiencing Faith When Everything Falls Apart

When everything falls apart, it can be challenging to maintain faith. The uncertainty and difficulties can cause us to question our beliefs and doubt God's goodness. However, faith is not just about intellectual understanding, but a deliberate commitment to the Person of Jesus Christ, even when we can't see the way ahead. As the Bible says, "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). This means that our faith is strengthened by our daily personal time with God, where we talk to Him and He talks to us, friend to friend.

To develop dynamic faith, it's essential to take a leap of faith into God's provision, even when we've never done it before. This requires us to trust in God's sovereignty and goodness, even when we can't see the outcome. As we pray specifically about any obstacle in our lives, we can ask for Christ to enlighten us and give us strength to overcome the roadblocks. It's also crucial to remember that faith is not about being in control, but about trusting in God's plan, even when it seems uncertain. By doing so, we can experience faith that is not based on our circumstances, but on our relationship with God.

In times of uncertainty and difficulty, it's easy to lose sight of our faith. However, by establishing a daily prayer-relationship with God, praying specifically about our obstacles, and trusting in God's sovereignty, we can develop dynamic faith that can overcome even the most daunting challenges. As the Bible says, "I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11). By trusting in God's goodness and plan, we can experience faith that is not shaken by the circumstances around us. We can have faith that is based on our relationship with God, and not on our circumstances. As we walk with God, we can learn to trust in His goodness and sovereignty, even when everything falls apart.
