Your Question:

Can I still find purpose in life after my disability?

Answer:

My friend, I can only imagine the struggles you're facing with your disability and depression. As someone who's walked through their own share of trials, I want to share with you what I've learned about finding purpose in life. For me, purpose is personal, and it's come from how I've found hope in God's Word. I've learned that my purpose isn't just to be rid of depression, but to live a life that's dependent on God's power and guidance.

You see, when we focus on our own desires and goals, we can easily get caught up in trying to control our circumstances. But when we surrender to God's will, we begin to see that our trials and suffering can be opportunities for growth and transformation. As the Bible says, "God wants you to accomplish" His purpose for your life. It's not about achieving a specific goal or outcome, but about living a life that's surrendered to God's will. And I've found that when I focus on Jesus and His purpose for my life, I begin to see that my tasks and experiences are not just random events, but opportunities to apply my faith and live by God's guidance.

Now, I know it's easy to get discouraged and feel like our disability or depression is a curse. But I want to tell you that God is not a God of curses, but of blessings. He wants to use our struggles to deepen our compassion and faith, and to bring us closer to Himself. As the Bible says, "It's possible that I should have precisely the beliefs and experiences I now have, despite my having come into existence just a second or less ago." Maybe, just maybe, this is exactly where God wants you to be, and He's using your disability and depression to shape you into the person He wants you to be.
