Can I ever trust my body again?

Trust in God is different from trusting our bodies. While our bodies can be unreliable and betray us, God is always faithful. According to 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." This verse reminds us that God is always with us and will not let us be tempted beyond what we can handle.

However, our bodies are subject to change and decay. We can try to maintain our physical appearance through various means, but ultimately, our bodies will not remain the same. This can lead to feelings of insecurity and mistrust. But God is not concerned with our physical appearance. He sees us as His beloved children, created in His image, and loves us just as we are. As the Bible says, "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" (Ephesians 2:10). Our worth and identity are not tied to our physical appearance, but to our relationship with God.

So, can we trust our bodies again? Perhaps not in the same way that we once did. But we can trust God to guide us and give us the strength to overcome our physical limitations. We can trust Him to help us develop a healthy and positive relationship with our bodies, and to use them for His glory. As the Bible says, "I can do all this through him who gives me strength" (Philippians 4:13). With God's help, we can learn to trust Him and ourselves, even when our bodies let us down. We can learn to see our bodies as tools for serving God, rather than as the source of our self-worth. And we can trust that God will always be with us, guiding us and giving us the strength we need to overcome any obstacle that comes our way.
