Biblical Answer

The fear of trusting in our bodies can arise from the fact that our physical appearance can change over time. We may have trusted in our youth and beauty, but as we age, our bodies may not look the same. This can lead to feelings of insecurity and shame. As the Bible says, "All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field" (Isaiah 40:6). Our physical bodies are temporary and fleeting, and trusting in them can be a source of fear and anxiety.

However, the Bible teaches us that our trust should be in God, not in our bodies. When we trust in God, we are not trusting in something that is temporary and fleeting, but in something that is eternal and unchanging. As the Bible says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). God is a God of hope and a future, and trusting in Him means trusting in His plans and purposes for our lives. When we trust in God, we can be confident that He will sustain us and give us the strength we need to face whatever challenges come our way.

In order to trust in God, we must be willing to let go of our trust in our bodies. This means acknowledging that our physical appearance is not the source of our worth and value, but rather our relationship with God. When we trust in God, we can experience a sense of freedom and peace that we may not have known before. As the Bible says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). God invites us to come to Him and find rest in Him, and when we do, we can experience a sense of trust and security that is not based on our physical bodies, but on our relationship with Him.
