Biblical Answer

The Bible teaches that heaven is the place where God dwells, and it is frequently called heaven in Scripture. The Lord says, Heaven is my throne (Isa. 66:1), and Jesus refers to heaven as His dwelling place and the place of His Throne (John 14:25; Revelation 19:9). Heaven is not primarily a place, but a shorthand for the presence and glory of God, which is especially and visibly manifested in heaven. It is a place of rest, worship, and service, where God's people will serve Him and praise Him (Rev. 22:3-5). The Bible also describes heaven as a place of eternal life, where believers will live with God and each other forever, and where there will be no more death, mourning, or pain (Rev. 21:4).

In the Bible, heaven is also described as a new creation, where God will create a new heaven and a new earth, and believers will live in a renewed world with God (Rev. 21:1-4). This new creation will be characterized by the removal of all evils, and God will wipe every tear from His people's eyes (Rev. 21:4). Heaven is also a place of judgment, where God will judge the wicked and reward the righteous (Matt. 25:31-46). The Bible teaches that heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people, with a program suited to both, and that hell is the destiny of those who reject God and His plan of salvation (Rev. 20:14-15).
