Can I still trust God even when things don't make sense in my life?

The question of trusting God when things don't make sense is a common one. According to the Bible, God wants us to know him as the source of all good things, even when he says no (Isaiah 50:10-11). Trusting God in such situations requires perseverance, which is developed as we respond to God in obedience. This means that we can become proficient in our ability to trust God consistently. It is possible to become proficient in trusting God consistently, and this is called perseverance. Rather than pining for answers, we can learn to trust God's sovereignty and goodness, even when we don't understand what's happening.

One of the reasons we may struggle to trust God is that we want to be in control. We may think that if God would just give us answers, we could trust him more easily. However, God wants us to learn to trust him, not our own thinking. We need to learn to go beyond all confidence in ourselves and other people of God, and to trust in God's goodness and sovereignty. This requires us to surrender our own understanding and will, and to trust in God's plan, even when it doesn't make sense to us. As we do this, we can develop a deeper trust in God, and learn to see his goodness and sovereignty even in the midst of uncertainty.

The Bible teaches us that God is good, and his gifts are intended to bless us. However, we may not always experience the blessings we desire. This can lead to doubt and questioning of God's goodness. But the Bible also teaches us that God is all-sufficient, and that he can work even in the midst of evil. When we trust in God, we are not trusting in our own abilities or understanding, but in God's goodness and sovereignty. We can trust God, not because we have all the answers, but because we know that he is good and all-sufficient, and that he is working out his plan in our lives, even when we don't understand what's happening.
