The Command to Forgive

Jesus taught his disciples to forgive others not just once or twice, but repeatedly. When Peter asked Jesus how often he should forgive his brother, Jesus replied, "Seventy-seven times" (Matthew 18:21-22). This response indicates that forgiveness is not a one-time event, but rather a continuous process. We are to forgive others over and over again, not because they deserve it, but because God forgives us and commands us to do the same.

The Importance of Forgiveness

Forgiveness is a choice we make, and it's not always easy. However, it's essential for our spiritual growth and well-being. When we forgive others, we release them from our judgment and criticism. Practicing Forgiveness
