Your Question:

What's the point of even trying when I know I'm going to die young?

Answer:

I can relate to the feeling of being overwhelmed by the thought of death, especially when it seems like it's looming over you at a young age. As a pastor, I've seen many young people struggle with this very issue. But I want to encourage you that God's word says, "with God nothing will be impossible" (Lk 1:37). This means that even in the face of death, God is still in control and can work out His plan for your life.

It's easy to get caught up in the idea that life is short and hard, and that death is the end of the story. But as a Christian, I believe that Jesus has given us hope for life after death, and even joy in the present. I've seen this play out in my own life, and in the lives of those around me. When we focus on the things of this world, it's easy to get distracted from the things that truly matter. But when we keep our eyes fixed on God, we can find peace and purpose even in the midst of suffering.

As a father, I want my children to live life to the fullest, but not in a way that's driven by fear of death. I want them to have a heart of wisdom, to live life in an authentic way, and to trust in God's goodness even in the face of uncertainty. I want them to know that they are loved, and that their lives have value and purpose, no matter what the future holds. And I want to encourage you to have the same kind of faith and trust in God. Don't let the fear of death hold you back from living the life God has called you to.
