Understanding God's Sovereignty and Our Freedom

When we face difficulties and hardships in life, it's natural to wonder why God is allowing this to happen to us. We might feel like we're being tested or punished, and that God is making us jump through hoops. However, the Bible teaches us that God is not on a divine ego trip, but rather, He is the One Who suffered for us, so that we could live. His desire is for us to come to know Him and to be saved from our sins.

The Mystery of Election and God's Love

The doctrine of election tells us that we are Christians because God in eternity past decided to set His love on us. But why did He decide to set His love on us? The answer is not because we prayed or did something good to deserve it. Rather, it's because God loves us and wants us to latch on to Him in order to be saved from our sins. We must recognize our need for a Savior, and that we can't do it on our own. This is where faith comes in - we must trust in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us.

Responding to Life's Challenges

When faced with life's challenges, it's easy to get bogged down in our own struggles and feelings of frustration. However, we must not focus on the roadblocks of life and miss seeing the road that God has laid out for us. We must be aware of the enemy's schemes that seek to devour us, and we must deny ourselves and lose ourselves to find ourselves in Christ. We must also prioritize our relationship with God, seeking to hear His voice and follow His leading in our lives. This means setting aside time to meet with God, seeking to understand His will for our lives, and being obedient to His commands. By doing so, we can navigate life's challenges with confidence and faith, knowing that God is working all things together for our good.
