Does God Always Answer Prayer?

Understanding the Nature of Prayer

Prayer is not just about getting answers from God, but about having a perfect and complete oneness with Him. When we pray, we receive an answer every time, but it does not always seem like it. We may not always understand why God answers our prayers the way He does. However, the Bible assures us that God listens to our prayers and answers them. In fact, Jesus had an unlimited certainty that God answers prayer, and we should have the same confidence. This confidence comes from knowing that God always answers prayer according to His will.

Conditions for Answered Prayer

For a prayer to be answered, it must be according to God's will. If we ask for something that accords with a specific promise or command of Scripture, we can have great confidence that God will answer our prayer. However, if we don't know what God's will is, we should ask for deeper understanding and then pray for what seems best to us, giving reasons to the Lord why, in our present circumstances, that seems best. We should not be discouraged if our prayer is not answered in the way we want it to be. Instead, we should recognize that God is always working, even if it's not in the way we expected.

Faith and Trust in God's Answer

We should have faith and trust that God will answer our prayer, even if it's not in the way we want it to be. We should not be like the Pharisees, who said, "But..." and limited God's power. Instead, we should trust that God always answers prayer, even if the answer is no or wait. We should give thanks to God for working in our lives, even if it's not in the way we expected. By having faith and trust in God's answer, we can have a deeper understanding of His will and a closer relationship with Him. Ultimately, prayer is not about getting answers from God, but about having a perfect and complete oneness with Him.
