The Social Test of Love

When love is put to the test in the face of uncertainty, the social test of love comes into play. This test is about how we demonstrate love in real-life situations, particularly in the context of our relationships with others. According to 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. It keeps no record of wrongs and does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. This means that when we are faced with uncertainty, love chooses to believe the best and hope the best, even when things seem impossible. This means that when we are faced with uncertainty, love is the final objective test of our Christian profession, and it is the surest test of having life.
