Biblical Answer

The question of why certain things happen to us, of all people, can be a difficult one to answer. From a biblical perspective, the reason we experience challenges and hardships is not because we are being punished or because God is not sovereign over our lives. Rather, God allows these experiences to shape us and make us more like Christ. The Bible teaches that God is the one who works all things together for good, for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). This means that we must learn to let go of our need to control and understand everything, and instead, trust in God's plan and purposes for our lives. As the Bible says, "We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28).

In the end, the question of why certain things happen to us is not one that can be fully answered by human reason or understanding. It is a mystery that is beyond our comprehension, and one that can only be fully understood through faith in God. As the Bible says, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:8-9). We must learn to trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, even when we don't understand what is happening, and to seek His guidance and wisdom in all that we do. This is the only way we can truly live a life that reflects God's character and values, and to find peace and joy in the midst of challenges and hardships.
