The question of trust is a complex one, particularly when it comes to trusting our bodies. We often find ourselves struggling to trust our physical selves, especially when we've experienced trauma or pain. But what does it mean to trust God, and how does that impact our ability to trust ourselves and our bodies?

The Source of Trust

According to the Bible, we can trust God because He is sovereign and all-powerful. He will not let us be tested more than we can stand, and He will make a way out so that we can bear it (1 Cor. 10:13). This means that we can trust God to help us navigate even the most difficult situations. But trust is not just about trusting God; it's also about trusting ourselves and our bodies. When we've experienced trauma or pain, it can be challenging to trust our physical selves. However, as we learn to trust God, we can also learn to trust ourselves and our bodies.

Overcoming Obstacles to Trust

So, how can we overcome obstacles to trust? The first step is to be honest with God about our struggles and weaknesses. We must tell Him how we'll react in the future, even if our faith is weak. By being honest and vulnerable, we can develop obstacle-overcoming faith. This means that we can learn to trust God, even in the midst of uncertainty and difficulty. As we learn to trust God, we can also learn to trust ourselves and our bodies. We can learn to forgive ourselves and others, and to release the past.
