Your Question:

Why can't I feel God's presence?

Answer:

As a pastor, I've had many conversations with people who struggle to feel God's presence in their lives. One reason for this might be that we've become so accustomed to the noise of the world that we've lost touch with the still, small voice of God. It's easy to get caught up in our daily routines and distractions, and before we know it, we're feeling isolated and alone, even in the midst of a crowded church.

Another reason we might not feel God's presence is that we're not taking the time to quiet our minds and listen for His voice. In today's fast-paced world, it's tempting to fill every moment with activity and noise, but God often speaks to us in the silence. As I reflect on my own life, I realize that I need to make more time for quiet reflection and prayer, seeking to hear God's voice above the din of the world.

Ultimately, feeling God's presence is a matter of faith and trust. Even when we can't see or feel God's presence, we can still trust that He is with us, guiding and directing us. As I read through the Psalms, I'm reminded that even in the midst of suffering and uncertainty, God's presence is always available to us. We just need to be still, listen, and trust that He is working all things together for our good.
