The Value of Your Life

The question of whether you are worth saving is a profound one. On the surface, it may seem like a straightforward answer: of course, every human life is valuable and worth saving. However, the question is not just about the value of your life, but about your worthiness to be saved. In the Bible, it is clear that our worthiness is not based on our own merit or good deeds. Instead, it is based on the price that was paid for us.

Purchased with a Great Price

The Bible teaches that we were "bought with a great price" (1 Cor. 6:20). This means that our lives were purchased by God through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. This price was not paid in silver or gold, but in the precious blood of Jesus (1 Pet. 1:18-19). This means that our worth is not based on our own worthiness, but on the worthiness of Jesus Christ. We are not saved because of our good deeds or our ability to live a good life, but because of the great price that was paid for us.

The Freedom of Surrender

So, the question of whether you are worth saving is not a question of whether you are worthy, but of whether you are willing to surrender to Jesus Christ. When we surrender to Him, we are not losing anything, but gaining everything. We are gaining a life of purpose, hope, and comfort. We are gaining freedom from the fear of loss and the fear of death. We are gaining a life that is "joyful, peaceful, and free" (2 Cor. 3:17). So, the question is not whether you are worth saving, but whether you are willing to surrender to the One who purchased you with a great price. If you are willing to surrender, then you are not only worth saving, but you are already saved. You are a child of God, and you are loved and valued beyond measure.
