Why do we need to trust God?

We need to trust God because he has suffered on account of evil, and we must acknowledge his greatness and all-sufficiency. Trusting God leads to a deeper knowledge of God, and as a result, God directs our paths. However, we often struggle to trust God because we are unsure of his intentions or actions. This is a problem of misplaced trust, where we value, love, and trust something in creation more than the Creator.

Trusting God means putting our trust in him, and he wants us to do so first of all. When we trust God, we begin to love him, and this is the way to love God. However, our trust is often conditional, and we turn back to elementary prayers when we face difficulties. This is a sign of a lack of genuine biblical faith. God uses his power to guard his people, and trusting him is the means he uses to do so.

We need to trust God because he is trustworthy, and we can have confidence in him. According to Matthew 9:29, "According to your faith let it be to you." This means that our level of trust in God determines what we receive from him. We can trust God because he is all-wise, loving, just, and holy. He sees the end from the beginning, so there is no reason to doubt his character. We can trust him because he is faithful and reliable, and we can have a secure foundation for our hope in him. Therefore, we need to trust God because he is trustworthy, and our trust in him determines what we receive from him.
