Can I ever trust anyone again after being scammed?

In light of your experiences, I would encourage you to reevaluate your trust in God, not in people. The Bible says, "According to your faith let it be to you" (Matthew 9:29). This means that our trust in God determines our experience of life. If we trust in Him, He will take care of us and provide for us. But if we trust in people or money, we will be let down. This is not to say that we should never trust people or never work hard to earn money. However, our ultimate trust should be in God, who is faithful and trustworthy.

In Psalm 26:1, the psalmist says, "I have trusted in the Lord; I shall not slip." This verse shows that trust in God is not a naive or foolish thing, but a wise and intentional choice. When we trust in God, we are not trusting in a person or a thing, but in the character of God Himself. We are trusting in His goodness, His faithfulness, and His sovereignty. And when we do this, we can be confident that He will preserve us and guide us, even in difficult times.

So, can you trust anyone again after being scammed? I would say yes, but only as long as your ultimate trust is in God. When you trust in Him, you can trust people and things, but you will not be devastated when they let you down. You will know that your true security and provision come from God, and that He is always faithful and trustworthy. This is not to say that you should never be cautious or wise in your dealings with people. But when you trust in God, you can trust others with a sense of peace and confidence, knowing that He is the one who ultimately provides and cares for you. (Psalm 25:21) "Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for You." When we trust in God, we can wait for Him to redeem and restore any situation, no matter how difficult or painful it may be. And we can know that He will always be faithful and true to us.
