The Illusion of Goodness Outside of Christianity

The question of whether one can be a good person outside of a relationship with Christ is a complex one. While it may seem that there are good non-Christians, the Bible teaches that there is no one who does good, not even one (Rom. 3:10-12). This is not to say that non-Christians cannot do good deeds or exhibit moral behavior, but rather that even their good deeds are not done out of a desire to please God or to do what is right in and of themselves. The Nature of Goodness in Christianity
