The Biblical Teaching on Giving

The Bible teaches that giving is a vital aspect of the Christian life. Jesus taught that giving is an act of worship to the Lord (2 Cor. 8:9). He encouraged the early church to give generously to the needy, including the Jerusalem Christians (Rom. 15:25-26). The Principle of Generosity

We should not give because we expect God to give us something in return, but rather because we trust that He will provide for us. The Bible teaches that we should not grumble about our salaries or possessions, but rather use them to bless others (Heb. 13:5-6). Ultimately, our giving should be motivated by a desire to please God, not by a desire for personal gain or recognition.
