The Struggle is Real: Why We Must Fight

As we navigate the challenges of life, it's natural to wonder if it's worth fighting anymore. We may feel exhausted, lonely, and overwhelmed, making it difficult to muster the energy to put up a fight. However, the Bible reminds us that God is with us, and He gives us the strength and support we need to overcome adversity. In the book of Isaiah, we read, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Isaiah 29:11). This verse encourages us to trust in God's sovereignty and provision, even in the midst of struggles.

The Battle is Not Lost

We must not give up the fight because we feel like we're fighting alone. The Bible teaches us that we are not alone in our struggles, but that we have the support of the church and the community of believers. In 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, we read, "Just as a body, though one, consists of many parts, so also the church consists of many parts. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each of you is a part of it." This verse reminds us that we are part of a larger body, and that we can find strength and support in one another. Furthermore, we can call upon God for help and guidance, and He will give us the wisdom and courage we need to overcome our challenges.

The Glory of Christ is Worth the Fight

Finally, we must remember that the glory of Christ is worth fighting for. When we feel like giving up, we must remind ourselves of the reasons why we started this journey in the first place. We must recall the promises of God and the hope that we have in Christ. In Romans 8:37-39, we read, "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." This verse reminds us that we are more than conquerors through Christ, and that nothing can separate us from His love. Therefore, we must not give up the fight, but rather, we must press on, knowing that the glory of Christ is worth the struggle.
