Why Do I Have to Live with This Guilt?

Living with guilt is a heavy burden that can weigh us down, causing us to feel anxious, depressed, and isolated. However, guilt is a natural response to sin, and it serves as a reminder that we have fallen short of God's perfect will. Guilt is not an irrational feeling, but rather a legal and spiritual state that points to remorse. When we sin against others or God, we should feel guilty, as it is a sign of our accountability before God. By understanding the difference between guilt and shame, we can begin to confront our sin and experience the freedom and forgiveness that God offers through Jesus Christ. As the Bible says, "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1).
